Ona & Maulinguem Village Pin code is 403504 and post office is at Bicholim and village Kudchirem Pin code is 403505 and post office is at Sanquelim.

PHYSICAL FEATURES OF Ona Maulinguem Kudchirem VILLAGE
Ona Maulinguem Kudchirem is a small village situated in Goa’s northern most Taluka known as Bicholim. It is located at about 25 kms from Mapusa. Here one can have a breathtaking view as the place originates in the hills and slopes downward into a plain. It is a Hindu village where the life of the villagers revolves around the Shree Sateri Temple Ona, Shree Sateri- Kelbai temple at Maulinguem & Shree Sateri temple at Kudchirem the Zatras of which is held in December- January.
The Kalika temples are the main attraction in the Ona village in Goa and also one can find a beautiful spring here. The area has a forest and one can also see some birds like peacocks and parrots.
Harijanwada, Paltadwada & Chamarkond in Maulinguem village is one of the most famous wards in the area. It is located at about 1 km from Maulinguem. M/s. Nestle India Company and Sahakar Jal (Purified water factory) is located in this ward. In ward No. IV there is one Cashew Factory located at Bharade, Maulinguem. The locals here own cattle which they use in their everyday lives to aid them with work.

Ona Village
Shree Kalika temple at Kasarwada, Ona where Ratsaptami is celebrated. & at Shree Sateri Temple at Gaonkarwada, Ona Varshik Kalostav (Jatra) is celebrated in month of December every year. Other temple in Ona village is Shree. Siddhi Vinayak temple where Ganesh jayanti is celebrated every year. Shigma and other festivals are also celebrated in the temple. Ona village has One Anganwadi & one Govt. Primary School situated at Gaonkarwada, Ona.
Maulinguem Village
There are two main temples in this village. Varshik Kalostav (Jatra) is celebrated in month of December/ January every year. Devicha Vaddiwas & Shigma and other festivals are also celebrated in the temple. Maulinguem village has three Anganwadis located at Saterkarwada, Maulinguem, Harijanwada- Maulinguem & Mayekarwada- Maulinguem & one Govt. Primary School & One High School namely Rauji Rane memorial High school located at Ghadiwada, Maulinguem.
Kudchirem Village
There are nine temples in Kudchirem Village out of them Shree Sateri, Kelbai, Bramhani & Mahadev temples are main for all villagers of Kudchirem. Jatra is celebrated at Sateri temple in month of December- January of every year. Mahashivaratree is celebrated at Mahadev temple & Shigma celebrated in the premises of all above temples. The Pimpleshwar Devasthan is located besides these temples. Shree Satyanarayan Mahapooja is held every year at Pimpleshwar. Others temples Shree Mahalasa temple at Deulwada Kudchirem, Shree Bramhani temple at Deulwada- Kudchirem, Shree. Kuldevi temple at Paltadwada, Kudchirem where Vadhadiwas are celebrated every year. Shree Hanuman Mandir at Naigini Kudchirem where Hanuman Jayanti: It’s celebrated in Chaitra month. Kudchirem village has five Anganwadis located at Naigini, Bhatwadi, Deulwada, Bramhaniwada & Paltadwada- Kudchirem. Village also has 03 Govt. THE MAIN OCCUPATION OF LOCALS AGRICULTURE & SMALL SCALE BUSINESS , ONA MAULINGUEM KUDCHIREM
Paddy is the main crop grown. Old/traditional varieties such as Damgo, Didkya, Kendal, Novan (black and white), Korgut, Jiresal, Dodik, and Bello were the varieties cultivated in the past. Some government introduced varieties like Taichung and IR-8 which replaced the traditional varieties have been discontinued while newer government varieties given at highly subsidized rates like Jyoti is the dominant variety cultivated.
The land was ploughed using draught cattle, then weeded and cleaned, and ploughed again by digging in straight line patterns. Finally seeds were sown in these pockets and a compost of cow dung was added. A special way to store the rice was called “totto” where sand was layered at the bottom (to keep it cool) followed by hay and then the whole rice was placed. The farmers of Ona Maulinguem Kudchirem make use of the breeze of nature to separate the husk from rice.
Chillies are minor crops which comprise 20% of the crops grown. Additionally, other vegetables like Red amaranth, Radish, Chillies, Beans, are grown. Coconut, Cashew nuts and Areca nuts are the main crops grown in this area.
Many people have now started small business like Hotels, Grocery Shops, Horticultural, etc. May be due to the increase crowd of the labour working for M/s. Nestle India Company.
